953. SPRINGFIELD 1881 HUNTING KNIFE. Standard hunting knife with 8-1/4" wide diamond-shape blade, sharp one on edge only, iron hand guard with round ribbed handle marked on the butt "S.W.P./1880". The hand guard has U.S./Springfield on one side and the number "37" on the other side. It is accompanied by an original 1st type leather and bronze sheath with belt hook, marked on the back of the leather "WATERVLIET ARSENAL" and the inspector's initials "JCTD". The back of the belt hook is also marked "WATERVLIET ARSENAL". CONDITION: The knife has most of a full blade that has been severely polished with a ground edge. The hand guard has some nicks and dents with a blue/gray patina. The handle has a few chips in the ribs, but is sound and clean. The sheath is near new. 4-43289 JL412 (350-600)

LOT OF TWO EARLY BOWIE KNIVES. 1) Sheffield bowie with 9-1/4" clip point blade, flat ground with the left side etched in a riband "THE PATRIOTS SELF DEFENDER" with etched arabesque patterns surrounding. The left ricasso is marked with the maker's name, but it is indecipherable. It has a thin German silver pointed-end hand guard and a homemade bone handle. CONDITION: Fair. The blade legend and decorations are completely legible, however, the blade is covered with deep pitting and has been amateur cleaned. 2) J. Russell/Green River Works clip point blade 9-1/2" long with the back grind only on the left side. The hand guard is of homemade brass, about an 1/8" thick, and it has smooth homemade stag handles. 955. EARLY ENGLISH FOLDING BOWIE. Early pocket knife with 5" blade that tapers from a 13/16" ricasso out to 1-1/8" at the widest area, then tapers down to a clip point. The left side of the blade has a thumbnail notch and is marked "SHEFFIELD STEEL". The left ricasso has "No 6 SHEFFIELD STEEL" and the right ricasso has two Maltese crosses. It has an articulated brass hand guard with a spacer on the top side. It also has long brass bolsters with tapered thick bone handles and a lock to prevent the blade closing once it is open and to guard the point when it is closed. This guard also has a lanyard ring. 956. EUROPEAN HUNTING KNIFE WITH POSSIBLE CONFEDERATE ASSOCIATION. A large clipped pointed Bowie style knife with a 12 1/2" wide flat single edged blade mounted in a cast brass German style hunting hilt with "D" guard knucklebow, stag grip, brass ferrule and pommel cap decorated with figures and scrolls. This knife is accompanied by a tag reading "Property of GAR Post/Laconia, NH" stating that this rebel knife was captured at Harper's Ferry. CONDITION: Very good. 957. 10" BUTCHER KNIFE WITH BONE HANDLE. The blade is marked "CAST STEEL / SHEFFIELD" below a snake logo indicating its manufacture by Kitchin, on the left side along with three shallow fullers. The bone scales are attached with four rivets with brass escutcheons on the left side. CONDITION: Gray patina overall with some scattered light pitting and areas of brightness. 959. CSA MARKED BALLOON OBSERVER'S PATTERN DAGGER. Unusual dagger with 7-1/2" double edge blade, 1-3/8" at the ricasso. Brass mounted with cast engraved hand guard marked in crude letters "CSA", with a small brass butt cap and rough horn scales. The sheath is solid brass engraved to match the handle, with the date 1863. It is crudely wrapped in brown leather with a belt loop secured with two early harness rivets. CONDITION: Cleaned and artificially aged blade with scattered pitting and live rust at the ricasso. The brass has a medium dark mustard patina and one of the scales is cracked. The metal rib around the throat of the sheath is loose and the tip is bent. We do not guarantee age. 4-43286 JL413 (200-600)

960. EARLY SPANISH COLONIAL DAGGER. Delicate dagger with 11" double edged blade, 7/8" at the ricasso with delicate canoe-shaped hand guard, octagonal handle with top and bottom silver ferrules and a dark wood, probably ebony, center handle. Accompanied by its original leather and silver sheath. CONDITION: The blade is nearly full size, apparently having been tipped at some time in the past with light surface pitting and a cleaned patina. The hand guard is slightly loose, otherwise the handle is in good shape. The sheath is dry and crackled with some loss of finish and a 2" split on the front with an open seam on the back. 961. FINE NORTHWEST KNIFE. 5-3/8" diamond shaped blade is marked "JUKES COULSON" on one side. The bone hilt is partially covered with rawhide. There are sets of three filed notches on both sides of the ricasso at the hilt. This knife has Blackfoot Indian association. CONDITION: Blade has been chemically cleaned to a pebbled gray patina. 962. 19TH CENTURY J. RODGERS SHEFFIELD CLIP-POINT BOWIE. This interesting clip-point bowie could have possibly been used by a sea faring individual or someone who at one time served on the sea. The reason I say this is because of the outstanding macramé-type braid work on the handle. The blade is marked J Rodgers & Sons 6 Norfolk Street Sheffield. The reverse is stamped with the star and cross trademark. The rawhide macramé work on the handle is outstanding. It is complete with leather nickel-mounted scabbard. SIZE: Blade is 7". 963. BALDWIN & HILL NORTHWEST KNIFE. 7-7/8" diamond shaped blade with large paddle-shaped hilt. The wood scales are attached with large copper rivets and one side is decorated with a stylized Indian shooting. The matching wood scabbard has an Indian with full headdress riding a horse on the front side. This knife has a Blackfoot association and has traces of a name above the riding Indian. CONDITION: Blade has been lightly cleaned and chemically toned. There are several shallow nicks on the edges of the blade. The scabbard and hilt are nicely toned. 4-43290 FS218 (5,000-10,000)

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1880 HUNTING KNIFE. 8-3/4" wide spear point blade with brass hand guard riveted to the blade, round ribbed wood handle, marked on the left side of the hand guard "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" and the serial number on the other side. Accompanied by an original, first-type brass and leather sheath with brass belt hook. The back of the sheath has been carved "J. Kleinle." SN 433. CONDITION: Knife is good to very good. The blade retains a cleaned light gray color with etched pitting on one side and scattered light pitting on the other. The brass hand guard and handle are good. 969. BEN SHOSTLE ENGRAVED BALLARD TWO BARREL SET CAL: .25-20WCF and .218Bee. Wonderfully engraved by the famous artist Ben Shostle with foliate arabesque patterns on a beautiful dark background covering about 50% of the receiver on both sides and the top three flats. The matching engraving extends 3 1/4" up the top flat of the barrel and down over the sides. The chamber area and the muzzle have two gold bands on both barrels. The .25-20 barrel is 28" octagon with bead front sight and semi buckhorn rear sight. The .218BEE barrel is 30", octagon to round with Sheared front sight, no rear sight and the top flat mounted with a custom engraved quarter rib with quick detachable Warne vertical rings that are matching engraved. The engraving extends almost to the front end of the octagon section. Both barrels have matching schnable tipped, highly figured forearms with fine diamond pattern checkering. The receiver is mounted with a modern mid-range vernier tang sight. The stock is beautifully figured shell grain walnut with straight grip and case colored crescent buttplate that has about 75% coverage matching engraving. A truly beautiful piece of artwork. Accompanied by a Ben Shostle certificate of authenticity indicating that the wood was done by "Jack Haugh." SN 20534 CONDITION: Outstanding. Retains virtually all its custom finish to metal and wood. CONDITION: Two of three spots of old repair with some dry rot on the right leg. Both leather pocket buttons are missing. The cuffs appear to be old repairs. 979. COLT DRAGOON PRESENTATION CASE. This case, which perfectly fits a 7-1/2" dragoon, is oak, 14-3/4" long by 8-1/2" wide and 3-1/4" deep. It is green velvet-lined with dividers and the direction, label in the lid. This case contains small compartment with lead balls and bullets, a dragoon size Colt flask, an early tin of Eley caps, a nipple wrench and iron Colt-marked two-cavity bullet mold. CONDITION: Good. Retains generous amounts of original finish with some flaking and a couple of repairs to the rear edges of the lid. The medallion is missing from the lid and appears to have been recently pried off and the lock escutcheon is missing. 986. SMITH & WESSON 2ND MODEL AMERICAN REVOLVER. CAL.: .44 American. Single action revolver with 8" keyhole barrel, blued finish, with two-piece smooth walnut grips that are numbered to this revolver and has the name "L.F. BARR" stamped inside each grip. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver as having been shipped June 13, 1873 to M.W. Robinson, New York, NY, Smith & Wesson's largest distributor, in a shipment of 100 identical guns. Also accompanied by an early mail order brown leather flap holster. SN 21968. CONDITION: Good to very good. All the parts have the same "800" assembly number. The barrel assembly and the cylinder have blue in the barrel gullet in sheltered areas, with the balance a thin brown patina with scattered surface rust. The frame retains 40-50% thinning original blue. The grip frame is a silver/brown patina. The grips are sound with repairs at the toes and have a fine hand-rubbed patina. 987. REMINGTON SPLIT BREECH DERRINGER. SN 4134. .41 R.F. cal. 4" part octagonal barrel. CONDITION: The breech pin has been replaced with a brass rod. The metal surfaces have been draw filed and sanded, removing part of the barrel marking. The grips have moderate chips and gouges on the left side and bottom. The action needs work. 992. EARLY ARGENTINE BOLAS AND A GAUCHO KNIFE. Very early ivory and silver bolas with 2" ivory balls encased in a silver cage, marked on the ring "A. AMOROS" and "800" signifying Sterling silver. The three bolas, graduated in sizes from 2" down to 1-3/4" are attached to tapered braided leather reates. The knife has a 5" straight tapered flat ground blade marked on the left side "H. BOKER & CO SOLINGEN" with a tree in the middle. Up toward the ricasso, has the stamped name "ALEMAN" and the hand guard has the number "18". The handle is tapered oval silver, engraved in foliate patterns and is 4-1/2" long. The sheath is leather and silver with several tiny gold-plated flowers and the initials "RD" in gold in a circle at the bottom. The belt clip is marked "AMOROSOLLOERAY Cia" with the hallmark "800" and is marked again the same way at the throat of the sheath. CONDITION: The bolas have numerous age lines and small chips, with one large ding. 1003. *A.H. FOX CUSTOM DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN 2-BARREL SET. CAL.: 12 ga. Originally a "B" Grade set with barrels 30" and 23-3/4". Both barrels have double ivory beads. The 30" barrels are choked Full/Mod. The short barrels are choked Cyl/Cyl. This shotgun has been extensively engraved with deep relief stippled background engraving, having a silver woodcock inlay on the left side, a silver pheasant on the right side and a large silver fox on the bottom. The back edge of the receiver has been modified to a triple-scalloped pattern. The top tang and lever are also engraved with a silver pigeon on the opening lever. The engraving extends 1-3/4" over the chambers on both barrels and has extensive gold wire inlay. The long barrels are fitted with a beavertail forearm that is carved and checkered to match the beautiful custom buttstock. The short barrels have the original Fox splinter forearm. The beavertail forearm and buttstock are matching grain highly figured walnut. The receiver has been fitted with a custom single selective trigger. The buttstock is 14" over a white line pad. Beautiful classic sporting rifle built on a post-64 Winchester action with a 24" tapered round barrel marked with the maker's name on the top, the caliber on the left side of the chamber, and the number "01-0008" (indicating that this is the 8th Opus 1 model rifle built). The Opus Sporting Arms Co. was located in Long Beach, California, according to an article beginning on page 44 of Guns Magazine, January 1988, which accompanies this rifle. Rifle is mounted in a highly figured Claro walnut stock with ebony forend tip, skeleton grip cap and thick shadow cheek piece, 14-1/8" over its original decelerator pad. The receiver is mounted with Buehler bases and rings. The bolt body and follower are jeweled. The sling swivel bases are inletted into the stock and forearm. 1032. *G. FUCH SUPERPOSED COMBINATION GUN TWO-BARREL SET. CAL.: .20ga./.20ga. & .20ga./243. Beautiful sidelock gun made in 1966 with both barrels 26". The combination barrels have tapered matted rib with pedestal front sight, folding rear sight, claw mounts with a gold inlaid "I" at the chamber end. It has Merkel-style 3-piece forearm. The shotgun barrels have a narrow matted rib with single bead and a "II" at the chamber end, choked IC/Cyl. Both barrels have double lump with twin barrel extensions for Greener crossbolt with gold-plated ejectors. The receiver has full coverage engraving with game scenes on the lockplates of two running raebuck in a nicely detailed woodland scene, and five ducks in a marsh scene on the right side, all surrounded with very fine arabesque pattern scrolls. The blue trigger guard has matching engraving and the spring-loaded 4-hole toe trap has a nicely detailed fox with full coverage extremely fine arabesque pattern engraving. The grip cap is an inlaid German silver oval with a bugling bull elk. The wood is beautifully figured European walnut with very nicely accomplished skip line checkering with light carving, roachback stock 14-1/8" over a black decelerator pad. The double triggers are gold-plated with checkered panels and the right one is set. Accompanied by a Ziess 6X42 scope in claw mounts and a Browning plush-lined two barrel case with two leather slings. Spectacular modern made shotgun with 29-1/2" superposed barrels choked Full/Full, with narrow vent rib, single silver bead, coin finish boxlock action, double scalloped fences, very fine border engraving around the receiver and all the metal, with very fine engraved rose pattern panels on each side of the receiver and on the bottom, single selective trigger and ejectors. This fine little shotgun is fitted with extremely high figured burl Circassian walnut stock and forearm. The forearm is tapered, slim wrap-around design and the buttstock with plain side panels, long wrist with round knob semi-pistol grip, 15" over a thin decelerator pad. The stock drop is 1-3/4" at the heel and 1-14" at the comb, with no apparent cast. WEIGHT: 6 lbs., 7.1 oz. The receiver is beautifully engraved with vignettes of quail, woodcock and English Setter surrounded by arabesque patterns that also extend over the fences, opening lever and 1-1/2" over the chambers. 1066. ENGRAVED AND INLAID SECOND EDITION COLT DRAGOON. CAL.: .44. Spectacular and wonderfully engraved 3rd Model Colt dragoon, appears to be a second generation Colt product. Fabulously engraved by "R. Dewill / Liege." This revolver is engraved overall with foliate arabesque patterns with about 85% coverage with heavy gold wire and arabesque patterns in raised gold. The flats of the barrel have deep relief gold wolves. The recoil shield has two prairie dogs on the left and a squirrel on the right. Each side of the rear of the frame has a bird dog head. The sides of the frame under the cylinder has "Colts Patent" in gold surrounded by fleur-de-lis and arabesque gold wire. The cylinder has a large "Colts Patent / No 19084" in gold. The trigger guard and backstrap and all the screws on the revolver are gold-plated and the grip frame has about 60% coverage foliate arabesque pattern engraving. This revolver is fitted with one-piece walnut grips that are checkered with about 32-line checkering with leaf carvings at the top. The barrel and cylinder are browned, the rammer, frame and hammer are case colored, and the rammer latch, wedge and trigger are niter blued. Accompanied by an oak, red velvet-lined French fitted display case which also contains an original type pair of one-piece walnut dragoon grips. 1071. *CUSTOM SPRINGFIELD SPORTING RIFLE CAL.: .30-06. Purportedly made by Wundhammer for Ed Crossman. This rifle has a 24" tapered round barrel, sleeve front sight, extra long slide Lyman 48 receiver sight, and a Griffin & Howe double lever side mount with a Zeiss small tube scope. The bolt handle has been bent and the body and handle polished. The outside receiver rail and follower have been jeweled. The trigger is custom and is finely checkered. The safety has also been modified for scope use. It is mounted in a beautifully figured Germanic-style sporting stock with schnable tipped forearm, side panels with an engraved crossbolt. The forearm and wrist are checkered and the buttstock has a European-style cheek piece with a serrated buttplate with trap, which contains a spare firing pin. The belly of the stock has a silver initial oval nicely engraved "E.C." The floorplate has a custom release with a knurled panel. No SN. CONDITION: Very good. Beautiful high grade best quality boxlock double rifle with 23-3/8" barrels, wide raised matted rib, pedestal front sight, fixed rear sight, with claw mounts containing a Hensold 4x32 scope, dolls head extension with greener crossbolt and double lump. The double scalloped boxlock receiver is heavily reinforced around the scalloped fences and along the sides of the receiver and is game scene engraved with two hounds on the left side, two boars on the right side, and a bugling stag on the floorplate. The balance of the receiver and 4-1/2" of the barrels over the chamber areas and 1-1/2" on each side of the muzzle, are engraved with fine arabesque and floral patterns. Extractors and double set triggers, horn trigger guard. The wood is beautifully figured shell grain walnut with a horn tipped splinter forearm and pistol grip stock, with cheek piece 14" over a checkered horn buttplate. The stock has plain side panels with a black diamond inlay on each side. The pistol grip is large and bag shaped with full coverage checkering. The stock also has a toe trap for four cartridges, and is engraved with a standing raebuck. It also has a silver shield initial plate and sling swivels. SN 3561. Spectacular double rifle with 26" damascus barrels, Henry rifling, raised matted rib with silver bead front sight and four-leaf engraved platinum-line express sight, graduated 100 to 400 yards, double lump. The tiny rounded action and back action locks are beautifully engraved with very fine arabesque patterns over about 50% of the surface. The fences are double scalloped and are also lightly engraved. The hammers are beautiful serpentine-shaped with long checkered spurs. The wood is spectacular burled English walnut with a splinter forearm, having a long metal tip, a delicate pistol-grip stock with shallow shadow cheek piece 14-1/2" over a checkered steel buttplate. The barrels retain about 95% brown damascus pattern. The receiver, floorplate and trigger guard are beautifully engraved with oak leaf, acorn and vine patterns with coin finish, the muzzle has about 2" of identical engraving. The bolt handle has been bent down and the safety remains original. 1160. UNMARKED MODEL 88 SPORTING RIFLE. CAL.: 8x57J. Early sporting rifle with 23" tapered octagon barrel, ramp front sight, two-leaf express sight, one standing, one folding, casehardened receiver with claw mounts, the scope is missing. The spoon handle bolt and striker guide are checkered. The one-piece stock has schnable tip forearm single wedge with engraved crossbolt, side panels, with round knob, semi-pistol grip stock, small cheek piece, checkered steel buttplate and sling swivels. Originally equipped with double set triggers, the rear one is now missing. This rifle is a little unusual in that the 88-style magazine box has been removed and a blind magazine installed. Better grade damascus shotgun with 30" barrels, a raised plain rib with the maker's name and address, game scene engraved lockplates having a bird dog on the left side and birds on the right side with the maker's name on each lockplate. The receiver fences, trigger guard and tangs all have fine arabesque pattern engraving with a tiny pheasant on the trigger bow. The wood is light colored honey and chocolate streaked French walnut with a splinter forearm and round knob semi pistol grip stock with smooth steel buttplate. SN 9663 CONDITION: Very good. The barrels retain 25-30% original brown with about 50% damascus pattern. The lockplates retain 30-40% faded case colors and the receiver is silvered case colors. The wood is straight grain American walnut with black tipped splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock 14-3/8" over a black Ruger solid pad. The wood is 13-3/4" long and appears not to have been cut when the pad was installed. SN FW95727. CONDITION: Very good. The barrels retain 93-95% original blue with scattered light surface rust and light wear at the muzzle and chamber ends. The receiver retains 10-15% case colors in sheltered areas, with the balance a mottled silver. The wood is sound with a couple of minor chips behind the sidelocks and another beside the lower tang. The forearm is dark and oil stained. The buttstock has been cleaned back of the wrist, apparently when the pad was installed. 1175. C.G. HAENL MODEL 88 SPORTING RIFLE. CAL.: 8x57J. Beautiful early sporting rifle with 23" tapered octagon to round barrel, full matted rib with unusual articulated two position front sight (day/night) and a two-leaf express sight, one standing, one folding. The maker's name and city are inlaid in silver in a small milled recess over the chamber. The receiver is completely matted and the cartridge box and trigger guard are unadorned case colored, spoon handle bolt. The one-piece stock with schnable tip forearm and side panels with engraved crossbolt and single wedge, has a checkered round knob semi-pistol grip, small cheek piece and smooth steel buttplate. It is equipped with double triggers and sling swivels. SN 275g. CONDITION: Very good to near excellent. The barrel retains about 90% dull blue, bright in sheltered areas. The receiver, cartridge box and floorplate retain 60-70% fading case colors. The forearm has a hairline by the right escutcheon, but is otherwise sound and retains about 90% of its original finish, with light handling and use marks. 1176. EDUARD KETTNER BOLT ACTION STALKING RIFLE CAL: 9.3x72R. Beautiful single shot stalking rifle with 23 1/2" octagon to round back to octagon at the muzzle, fine fluted barrel with engraved pedestal front sight and two-leaf express sight, one standing, one folding. The receiver is fully engraved with foliate and vine patterns with punch dot background. The chamber area over the top three flats is engraved and silver inlaid with leaf and vine patterns. The receiver has a claw mount base and screw, but missing the mount. It has a spoon-handle bolt and Mauser 93 style safety. The stock is one piece moderately figured walnut secured on the front with a single wedge, plain side panels, a checkered wrist with capped pistol grip, small European cheekpiece and serrated horn buttplate. It is fitted with double set triggers. Accompanied by one full box of 20 Sellier & Belloit ammunition with 193 grain bullets and two boxes of unprimed brass. SN 10563 CONDITION: Good to very good. Retains most of a recent reblue to the metal and refinished wood. The receiver and trigger guard apparently were originally case colored and when they were reblued, the blue did not take well as they are both a light brown color. Early short barrel sporting rifle that has been fitted into a custom Mannlicher-style stock with 20" stepped round barrel, integral ramp front sight, 1,000 yard rear sight. The receiver ring marked with the Obendorf markings and dated 1908. The trigger guard and floor plate are military-style and are engraved with oak leaf and acorn patterns. The stock is light colored walnut with a brass foreend tip, carved and checkered wrist with a cheek piece and thick horn buttplate. SN 23067. CONDITION: Very good. All matching numbers. The barrel and receiver retain 96-97% strong bright blue under a coating of old dried oil. The trigger guard and floorplate retain most of their coin finish. The wood is sound with a hairline or two back of the top tang and shows heavy use and wear, with only outline of the checkering pattern remaining. 1181. M. MACH DOUBLE BARREL PINFIRE SHOTGUN. CAL.: about 20 bore. Unusual under lever shotgun with 28-1/4" coarse damascus barrels, rounded action with back action locks, metal and horn trigger guard with tiny forearm and straight grip stock, having a heavy cheek piece and steel buttplate. The receiver, sidelocks, hammers, opening lever, trigger guard, upper & lower tangs, and buttplate are all beautifully engraved with game scenes of dogs and birds, fox, and hares. The perameters of all these items are inlaid with gold wire, with some small leaf patterns on the lockplates and receiver in gold. The maker's name is in gold on the right lockplate and "IN PRAG." on the left. The receiver has two pins underneath the hammer, that when the opening lever is depressed, brings the hammers to half cock. The wrist of the stock is relief carved in leaf and vine patterns with stippled background and extends down the belly of the stock to the sling swivel. No SN. CONDITION: Good. The barrels retain about 80% damascus pattern with light to moderate pitting overall. The sling swivel has been re-soldered. The receiver and all other metal surfaces have been cleaned to a dull metal finish. The wood is sound, with no original finish remaining. Dark bores with scattered pitting. 4-44266 Z16 (1,000-2,000)

1182. FANCY DAMASCUS DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. No SN. 18 ga. 30-11/16" Damascus barrel. "A.W. EDEL IN LEIPZIG" inlaid in gold on the barrel rib inside an inlaid silver border. The right lockplate has a gold inlaid dog pointing a silver rabbit in scroll engraved forest scene with silver highlights. The left lockplate has two deer lying in a forest scene with inlaid silver highlights. The buttplate has a gold inlaid fox on top and the left side of the stock is carved with two foxes in a forest setting, one eating a bird. The fancy black trigger guard is possibly horn. CONDITION: Metal is mostly gray, with strong Damascus pattern on barrels and ribs. The stock has numerous dents and scratches, some heavy, but retains much of the original varnish, except on the cheek piece, which appears to be re-varnished. The bores are evenly pitted. 1183. FINE GERMAN PIN FIRE COMBINATION GUN. No SN. .56 cal./16 ga. 25" barrels. "CHR. BAUER in BAD-EMS" inlaid in gold at the top of the barrel. A five-pointed crown over AO monogram is inlaid in gold on the barrel tang. The sides of the receiver have sculpted forest scene involving deer. The lockplates have engraved scene of running fox and dog. The trigger guard has a standing chamois. The rear of the trigger guard is horn. The rifle barrel has a set trigger. The grip of the stock is carved in vines and leaves. CONDITION: Barrels retain most of their original brown finish, with scattered spots of light surface rust. The coin finish action is fine, with a few scattered specks of light pitting. The stock has some wear spots, mostly bright. The left side of the horn on the trigger guard is chipped. 1194. *COLT 1903 POCKET PISTOL WITH RARE JAPANESE MILITARY STYLE HOLSTER CAL: .32ACP. Nickel finish with rampant Colt medallion pearl grips, standard markings and original nickel magazine. Accompanied by a small brown leather clamshell holster of WWII vintage with three Japanese characters inside the flap and with a magazine pouch sewn near the top, with brown enameled snap and stamped inside the flap ".32 caliber/Colt". The pouch is of two-piece construction and possibly added at a later date. The holster fits the pistol perfectly and no doubt was made for it. The back of the holster has the belt loop and two brass D-rings for the shoulder strap. The holster is possibly for a baby Nambu, but if so, it surely does fit this Colt nicely. Also accompanied by an extra, early, two-tone Colt magazine. SN 450310 CONDITION: Very good. The pistol retains 93-95% strong, bright nickel with some minor light flaking on the left side of the slide and frame and two bare spots on the front strap. The right grip has a repaired crack; otherwise, both grips are beautiful with lots of color and pattern. Bright, shiny bore. The holster retains 85-90% original brown finish with all sound stitching.
